Commit to being fully onsite for the 12-month training program to shadow, learn, and gain hands-on experience with day-to-day operations on assigned project(s). Demonstrate understanding of training topics during each phase of the first year and participate in performance reviews on a 4-month cadence to ensure knowledge retention and development goals. Follow directions and coaching from the Futures Program Sponsor (a tenured superintendent or above). Develop professional skills and demonstrate the ability to: communicate clearly and professionally, manage multiple tasks, and uphold integrity with The HITT Way and core values. Seek continuous improvement, adapt to changes in construction technology, design, means, and methods, and collaborate with a diverse team of colleagues, clients, subcontractors, and vendors. Maintain punctuality, engagement, and respectful behavior at all times. Set up and maintain jobsite offices and records, update as-built drawings, interpret coordination drawings, and participate in site inspections to ensure quality and workmanship. Assist in tasks such as updating project schedules, material take-offs, placing supplier orders, and receiving material deliveries. Assist the superintendent with survey/layout tools, interpret basic tests/reports (e.g., air balance, soils, concrete), and participate in subcontractor foremen’s meetings as directed. Understand cost implications of construction tasks, assist Project Managers with budgeting and client management as needed, and support implementation of HITT’s Corporate Safety Program through safety meetings and required reports. Qualifications

High school diploma required. Military experience or a four-year degree in Construction, Engineering, Architecture, or Business is strongly preferred. Previous experience on commercial job sites is strongly preferred. Passion for the construction industry and on-site work. Ability to learn project software systems, including Microsoft Office 365 (Project, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint), ProCore, Adobe Suite, BlueBeam, and the JD Edwards software suite. Ability to walk/stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
