On-site – Newark, CA Overview: We are seeking an experienced
Multibody Dynamics Engineer
to support powertrain NVH simulation efforts focused on electric drive units and combustion systems. This role will be based
on-site in Newark, CA , and will play a key role in advancing simulation capabilities related to gear systems, dynamic modeling, and NVH analysis. Key Responsibilities: Conduct
multibody dynamics (MBD)
simulations using
Simcenter Motion
for electric and combustion drive systems. Model and analyze
gear systems
and
gear joints
to evaluate dynamic performance. Perform
post-processing
of simulation results, transforming data from the
time domain to the frequency domain . Pre-process and reduce
FE models
for integration into MBD environments. Collaborate with simulation and powertrain teams to interpret results and support design improvements. Required Qualifications: Strong experience with
Simcenter Motion
for MBD simulations of powertrain systems. Working knowledge of
gear dynamics , including gear contact and joint behavior. Proficiency in
signal processing
for converting time-domain data to frequency domain. Hands-on experience in
preparing and condensing FE models
for dynamic simulations. Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in
NVH (Noise, Vibration, and Harshness)
simulation and analysis. Familiarity with electric powertrain systems and drivetrain architecture Seniority level
