Job Overview The Repair Technician is responsible for performing high‑quality repairs and rework on electric vehicles to ensure each unit meets all functional and quality standards before release. This role requires strong mechanical and/or electrical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and precision in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
What You’ll Do:
Perform mechanical and electrical repairs on electric vehicles according to defined processes and specifications.
Conduct rework to correct manufacturing or assembly issues identified by Quality or Engineering.
Diagnose issues using tools, testing equipment, and diagnostic software.
Execute repairs following approved work instructions, torque specifications, and safety protocols.
Verify repair quality and functionality before vehicle release.
Document all repair and rework activities accurately in tracking systems or travelers.
Maintain organized, clean work areas and care for tools and equipment.
Follow all environmental, health, and safety (EHS) procedures, including high‑voltage safety.
Communicate findings, part needs, and process improvements to team leads and engineering support.
Support continuous improvement efforts to reduce rework, improve first‑time quality, and increase efficiency.
Who You Are:
2+ years of hands‑on experience in automotive, EV, or manufacturing repair (assembly or service).
Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, or diagnostic systems.
Ability to understand and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and work instructions.
Basic computer skills for data entry and work documentation.
Excellent attention to detail, craftsmanship, and pride in quality work.
Strong commitment to teamwork, communication, and workplace safety.
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certificate or relevant training preferred.
