The Electro-Mechanical Technician Senior will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks in support of manufacturing of space flight sub-systems and support equipment. This role requires to work the first shift. This position’s internal job code is Electro-Mechanical Technician. Our team is currently hiring for grade 24. Responsibilities
Electro-Mechanical assembly of PCB assemblies into product chassis Assemble Electro-Mechanical assemblies by interpreting blueprints, engineering drawings and specifications, and written assembly, and standard operating procedures Use precision calibrated tools – torque wrenches, micrometers and calipers Perform visual inspection of Electro-Mechanical assemblies to drawings, engineering specifications, and written assembly, integration and test procedures Ensure product quality and conformance to specifications Document non-conformances and associated rework/repair Soldering and reworking of through-hole and SMT components Support conformal coat, masking, epoxy application and coating Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED 3-5 years of relevant experience in Electro-Mechanical assembly on high reliability products Industry and/or Trade School training Working knowledge ESD, IPC J-STD-001, and IPC-A-610 standards Experience with a variety of assembly techniques and tools (e.g. epoxy, thread-locker, torque wrench, soldering iron, microscope, etc.) 3-5 years of soldering experience Preferred Qualifications
> 5 yrs experience building a variety of component-level space products (e.g. avionics boxes, batteries, mechanisms, optics, printed circuit board assemblies, solar arrays, etc.) IPC J-STD-001 and/or IPC-A-610 certification Experience working in at least a 100,000 Class cleanroom environment Ability to Obtain Clearance Ability to travel Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only of what is reasonably expected to be paid for the position.
