Overview
Fleet Data Centers designs, builds and operates mega-scale data center campuses. Fleet provides its customers with flexibility and predictability to meet upside demand forecasts, addressing a key need in the market as traditional leased models struggle to keep pace with demand for new Cloud and AI infrastructure. Fleet is led by industry veterans and is positioned to collaborate with customers on tailored data center campuses of 500MW+. Fleet headquarters is in Denver, Colorado, with satellite offices in Seattle, WA and Arlington, VA. Fleet is committed to Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) and strives for zero incidents. The role is located in Sparks, NV with onsite expectation of five days per week.

Responsibilities
Act as the Owner’s representative and provide daily oversight of EHS performance for the General Contractor and all subcontractors at the construction site.
Champion the top-level EHS policy, foster a strong on-site safety culture, and verify rigorous implementation of EHS programs, especially High-Risk Activities (HRAs).
Spend at least 75% of time observing construction operations, focusing on high-risk activities, and ensuring professional on-site EHS performance.
Provide daily oversight of EHS standards, maintain documentation, audit KPIs, and ensure compliance with federal, state, local regulations and internal policies.
Lead the implementation of HRAs (e.g., working from heights, electrical safety, energy isolation, lifting, mobile equipment, material handling, confined spaces, ground disturbance, driving, temperature extremes, noise).
Oversee contractor EHS compliance through risk assessments, schedule integration, pre-task planning, permit procedures, and HRAs plans.
Organize and lead EHS communications, worker orientation, training, and competency assessments; ensure corrective actions and lessons learned are implemented.
Develop, track and report EHS KPIs; lead, coach, and influence contractors toward continuous improvement.
Lead safety in design initiatives and participate in BIM/VDC-enabled EHS management where applicable.
Ensure compliance with all applicable EHS regulations; manage EHS policy and procedures for the project with a focus on safe design and construction practices.
Coordinate with construction project directors, engineering, procurement, legal, and other internal teams to integrate EHS considerations across the construction lifecycle.
Utilize EHS software to monitor contractor EHS oversight, track compliance, and drive risk management and corrective actions.
Support contractor EHS vetting and assurance efforts and manage an on-site audit program to identify deficiencies and drive improvements.
Participate in and lead meetings for HRAs planning and forecasting; manage incidents investigations and root cause analyses when necessary.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree
3+ years as an EHS leader in the data center construction industry
5+ years in Environmental, Health, and Safety management within a construction environment
5+ years overseeing EHS performance standards for general contractors and subcontractors and management of high-risk activities
5+ years leading investigations, incident reporting, lessons learned, and sustainable implementation
5+ years managing EHS software including contractor vetting, compliance, and metrics reporting
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with Safety in Design principles and BIM/VDC for EHS management
Relevant certifications (e.g., CSP, CHST, OSHA 30)
Experience partnering with project directors, engineering teams, and legal to integrate EHS into construction projects
Excellent communication and leadership to foster a proactive safety culture
Additional Details
Role may involve up to 25% travel to Fleet offices and to meet with vendors
Expected Salary Range: $120,000-$150,000 base salary plus bonus
