Diesel Truck / Drill Rig Mechanic

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced mechanic that is SELF-MOTIVATED, ENERGETIC and able to MULTI-TASK. With limited supervision, perform maintenance and repairs on our trucks and drilling equipment. This position requires advanced knowledge of engine drive trains, suspension and steering systems, electrical and hydraulic systems, advanced air brake and valve systems, as well as advanced knowledge of engine chassis, body control systems, heating and air conditioning systems, and welding and fabrication. Perform all maintenance and repairs in compliance with the company’s safety procedures and requirements, in the shop, on the road, and at the jobsite. Candidates should have a foundational knowledge and experience as a diesel mechanic, and should be able to quickly become familiar with all systems for our drill rigs and auxiliary equipment.
Minimum Requirements
At least (3) years of prior experience as a technician working on heavy-duty Class 8 trucks or heavy-duty equipment Strong knowledge of machinery, hydraulic, electrical, and other mechanical systems Must pass company background checks, including a drug screen Local candidates preferred; no relocation Available to work overtime and weekends as required to meet client schedules Positive attitude and reliable attendance
Preferred Requirements
Previous experience in the drilling or heavy transportation industry as a technician Advanced knowledge in mechanical systems, evidenced by ASE Certification and at least 3 years of experience as a technician working on heavy-duty Class 8 trucks Good physical stamina and overall fitness
