JOB SUMMARY: As a Field Service Technician, you’ll be the go-to expert for on-site diagnostics, maintenance, and repair of Caterpillar (CAT) Power Generation equipment and related systems. You’ll work independently from a fully equipped Ohio CAT service truck, servicing and performing: Responsibilities

CAT diesel and gas generators (5KW to 3MW) Switchgear and ATS systems Control panels and electrical distribution systems Perform load bank testing, commissioning, and preventive maintenance Use diagnostic tools (e.g., CAT ET (Electronic Technician), SIS (Service Information System), and other computer-based diagnostic tools/software) to troubleshoot issues Provide exceptional customer service and technical support Ensure compliance with safety protocols and documentation standards Competencies

Experience with CAT, Cummins, Generac, Kohler, or Detroit Diesel generator systems Familiarity with switchgear brands like Russelectric, Lakeshore, or Asco Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills Ability to read and interpret wiring schematics and control diagrams Military or field-based experience in equipment diagnostics and repair is highly valued Comfortable working independently in outdoor environments Must own and safely use personal mechanic’s tools Job Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED is required, along with completion of a technical school program (minimum 2 years) focused on diesel or power generation systems, plus at least 3 years of relevant industry experience. Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in repairing diesel engines, generators, and industrial equipment. Employee Benefits

Lifting/Carrying 40 lbs. Lift/Carry and 50lb pull Repetitive Motions: Frequent movements requiring the use of hands, wrists, and fingers. Dexterity Normal Frequent standing/sitting up and down stairs. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate to loud in other situations, with both constant and sudden loud noises possible. EEO
