Engineering Technician - 2nd Shift 2pm - 10:30pm

| Location: Hunt Valley, MD | Client: Medical Devices Company | Employment Type: Contract on W2 | Duration: 3 Months | Total Hours/Week: 40 | Shift: 2nd shift 2pm - 10:30pm Responsibilities

Position Summary: Reports directly to Engineering Manager / Maintenance Manager or Production Supervisor. Performs routine setup, operation, minor and major routine maintenance, preventative maintenance and troubleshooting of highly complex/automated manufacturing equipment. Responsibilities include production, quality, downtime, and waste levels of machine operation. Perform mechanical, pneumatic and electrical maintenance including preventive repairs, adjustments, inspection and monitoring of production and/or facilities related equipment and machinery. Uses judgment to analyze, troubleshoot and repair complex equipment and machinery. Must project positive attitude with good team skills. Effectively works in a team setting, supporting team goals and objectives. Make effective decisions relative to position requirements. Uses judgment to plan, perform, make decisions, troubleshoot and problem solve in performance of all maintenance tasks. Essential Roles & Responsibilities: Performs routine set up, operation, maintenance, preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of highly complex automated manufacturing equipment. Controls and adjusts machine settings. Prioritizes daily work assignments to meet production needs and department goals. Responsible for preventive maintenance scheduling, completion of work orders and tasks as assigned. Supports installation and removal of equipment and corrective maintenance. Monitors the production lines and evaluates equipment performance for repairs and continuous improvement. Demonstrates mechanical ability to complete changeover of equipment and some operator level preventive maintenance. Assists with root-cause analysis activities for process or product exceptions. Checks work using prescribed gauges, jigs and fixtures to measure close tolerances. Ensures accurate documentation of all relevant quality, safety, and maintenance documents. To be done in conjunction with Engineering, Quality and Production supervision: Organizes, completes, and directs improvement projects to increase equipment utilization. Identifies, solves problems, and resolves complex issues associated with machine performance and product quality. Advises on proper content of PM task list and frequency of execution. Assists with the installation, debug, and start-up of all new or modified production equipment. Client Requirements

Works with external contractors and vendors as needed Demonstrates the ability to follow established procedures according to GMP Must follow all client housekeeping policies and procedures Must follow all client safety policies and procedures Must be able to work overtime as required to meet client business requirements Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED and 2 years of experience in relevant field High School Diploma or GED with 4 years relevant experience required Knowledge and Skills

Time management skills to complete tasks without delay Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work with various teams Mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical skills to analyze, fix, and repair complex equipment and machinery Ability to read electrical and pneumatic schematics Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, diagrams, and equipment specifications Flexible and adaptable with various equipment, processes, projects, or assignments Calibration techniques and precision measuring instruments knowledge Ability to use PC including MS Excel and MSWord Demonstrate mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic proficiency Sensor technology knowledge Basic plumbing and fluid systems knowledge Power transmission gear boxes motors belts and chain drives knowledge Basic machining Electrical troubleshooting from low level signals to 480 VAC Additional Experience Preferred

Troubleshooting of Industrial Control Systems including instrumentation, ladder logic, relay logic, VFD, servo etc. PLC operations, robotics, and vision systems Mechanical design with AutoCAD or SolidWorks SAP or similar maintenance module Basic skills with mill, lathe, welding, and bearing press Seniority level
