We are seeking an experienced Motor Winder who specializes in winding coils for electrical motors. Responsibilities
Burn out, disassemble, and accurately record winding data for electromechanical equipment rewinds. Use the company standard process for recording data to avoid confusion during shared winding projects. Check data as required on EASA.
Rewind electromechanical equipment accurately per recorded winding data.
Inspect various kinds of electro-mechanical equipment for damage and evidence of electrical malfunctions. Identify repair and part replacement requirements.
Dismantle and/or strip damaged or unserviceable electro-mechanical equipment.
Assess the mechanical condition of equipment under repair.
Perform routine maintenance on winding machines to ensure optimal performance.
Inspect coils to ensure they meet specified standards and tolerances.
Identify and resolve issues with winding equipment or the winding process.
Accurately label, test, and dip/ VPI completed windings. Turn and undercut the commutator and balance the rotor.
Assemble the wound coils into the motor casing, ensuring correct alignment and secure connections.
Illustrate and/or document all relevant data specific to the unit’s electromagnetic characteristics, operating condition, existing damage, or intended serviceability.
Conduct tests to check the quality and performance of the windings, including insulation resistance and continuity tests.
Prepare reusable parts for rewinding and inspect renewed parts for hidden structural damage or unusual conditions.
Communicate with Manager and Sales Representative regarding schedule delays and workload issues.
Prepare completed parts and equipment for shipping.
Perform regular maintenance on company equipment and tooling.
Ensure proper insulation techniques and requirements are followed during the winding process.
Adhere to safety protocols to ensure a safe work environment and compliance with industry standards.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Familiarity with winding machines and equipment, including setup, operation, and maintenance.
Precision in winding coils to meet specific standards and tolerances.
Understanding mechanical processes and being able to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
Experience with checking windings and installing new leads if required.
Work Environment
Collaborative work environment.

Exposure to hazardous equipment.
Required use of proper safety equipment (e.g., steel-toed boots, safety glasses) and adherence to safety procedures.
Exposure to loud noises.
Clean and maintain the work area.
