Overview
Alexandra Grecco Bridal is looking for a technical designer to support our development team and manage pre-production processes, focusing on accuracy of patterns, sizing, technical production documentation and working with factory partners, as needed. The ideal candidate has acute attention to detail, the ability to meet tight deadlines, a comfort balancing competing and sometimes changing priorities, and between 3 to 5 years of technical design or pattern-making experience. Responsibilities
Manage pre-production process, including helping to progress from a seasonal photoshoot sample to an approved production for partner factories, including pattern corrections as needed; Review patterns to assess notches and grainlines, validating cutters musts and reviewing measurements; Review and check grading to ensure consistency throughout size range, advise of the need for any aesthetic modifications to individual sizes, post-grading; Prepare and evaluate TOPs before fittings, spec TOPs; Communicate with factory partners and/or pattern-makers to implement post-fitting adjustments; Assist in quality control process on items received from production partners; Prepare tech-packs/BOMS/embroidery and lace placement maps. Qualifications
A strong understanding of patterns, pattern modifications, and fit notes; Associate degree in pattern-making, technical design or equivalent professional experience; 3-5 years of bridal, couture, or womenswear technical design or pattern-making experience; About Alexandra Grecco
