The Keck School of Medicine (KSOM) of USC and Children's Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) in the Department of Pediatrics in the Division of Hematology-Oncology are actively seeking a full-time faculty member for the position of Clinical Assistant Professor of Pediatrics (Clinician Educator). Position

The Division of Hematology-Oncology at CHLA within the Department of Pediatrics at KSOM is recruiting for an Assistant Professor specializing in Classical Hematology. The candidate will hold a primary academic appointment in the Department of Pediatrics of the USC Keck School of Medicine at the level of Assistant Professor. In this position, clinical care with the Hematology service is expected, with remaining time dedicated to research and education. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year post-fellowship experience with an academic interest in Sickle Cell Disease, thalassemia, iron disorders, red cell disorders, bone marrow failure, coagulation, or other non-malignant hematology domains. The Cancer and Blood Disease Institute (CBDI) is the pediatric component of the NCI-designated USC-Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center and is one of the largest and top-ranked pediatric hematology-oncology programs in the U.S., serving a diverse patient population. It hosts an ACGME-accredited Pediatric Hematology-Oncology Fellowship and advanced specialty post-graduate sub-specialty fellowships. The CBDI has been continuously ranked by U.S. News & World Report in the top ten pediatric cancer programs since 2008. Our Clinical Trials Operation supports active clinical trials programs in hematology, oncology, and bone marrow transplantation and offers unique research opportunities through pediatric clinical trial consortia headquartered at the Center. The annual base salary range for this position is $95,904 – $325,712. When extending an offer of employment, USC considers factors such as scope and responsibilities, work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, federal, state, and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, and market considerations.
