Starting Pay Range: $36.81 to $41.95 an hour - Paid Weekly

Eligible for monthly bonus based upon plant productivity

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, including wiring, conduit, electrical panels, motors, and control systems.

Install and configure electrical components for new and existing production lines, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems to identify and address potential issues before they cause disruptions.

Troubleshoot and repair electrical malfunctions using advanced testing equipment and tools.

Repair or replace faulty components such as wiring, switches, relays, and circuit breakers to restore system functionality.

Collaborate with the maintenance team to resolve complex electrical issues and implement long-term solutions to prevent recurrence.

Program and maintain Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) to control automated machinery and processes.

Troubleshoot and repair PLCs, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), and Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs).

Optimize control systems to enhance production efficiency and product quality.

Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspection reports, and parts inventories.

Ensure all electrical work complies with National Electrical Code (NEC), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations, and other relevant standards.

Assist with the development and implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for electrical maintenance tasks.

Adhere to all safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) to maintain a safe working environment.

Conduct safety inspections and risk assessments to identify and mitigate electrical hazards.

Provide training and support to production and maintenance staff on the safe operation and troubleshooting of electrical systems.

Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.

Demonstrate strong knowledge of electrical systems, including AC/DC motors, control circuits, and power distribution.

Experience with PLC programming, troubleshooting, and repair (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, etc.).

Familiarity with VFDs, HMIs, and other automation components.

Skilled in using electrical testing equipment, such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and insulation testers.

Qualifications

Perform all preventative maintenance on machinery and auxiliary equipment as required and as delegated by Manager.

Rebuild all machine parts as necessary and install as needed.

Perform prep work, set up and installation of new equipment.

Ensure all equipment and machinery is operating properly during his/her shift.

Must be able to read and understand electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic blueprints and sketches.

Must be able to read and use tools such as ruler, micrometer, calipers, and assorted hand tools.

Must be able to read with comprehension and repair manuals for machinery.

Perform designs, fabrications, weld and burn with torch as needed.

Some basic lathe and milling machine experience for certain repairs.

Ensure lock-out / tag-out procedures are adhered to while performing work on machines or equipment.

Keep work areas around equipment safe, clean, and organized at all times.

Demonstrate overall mechanical knowledge in all facets of manufacturing operations and equipment.

Must have 5+ years experience in maintenance, preferably in manufacturing.

Must be able to read with comprehension and apply blueprints and perform math functions.
