Join Our Team as a Construction Standards Engineer at Trico Electric Cooperative! Posting Period: Thursday October 28th – Until Filled (First Application November 6th)
Salary: $84,000-$94,000 - D.O.E

What You Will Do As a Construction Standards Engineer at Trico, the candidate will be responsible for developing, managing, and integrating construction assembly units in alignment with company design standards. This includes overseeing the full lifecycle of construction specifications—from initial development and material selection to software integration, field implementation, and GIS export. The role involves providing expert guidance on overhead and underground electric distribution systems, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and leading cross-departmental collaboration. The candidate will also chair the standards committee and maintain essential engineering documentation, including the Trico Distribution Engineering Guide and Electric Service Requirements Book.
What You Bring to Trico
A Bachelor’s degree in engineering or applicable field, with three years in the electric utility field
Seven years experience in engineering or construction of the electric distribution utility system in lieu of education.
A valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record are required for this position.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Strong understanding of industry-specific knowledge (e.g., utility operations, electrical systems, renewable energy technologies).
