About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our Aerospace and Defense Manufacturing team. This role is critical in designing, developing, and testing mechanical systems and components for mission-critical applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical design, materials science, and manufacturing processes, with a passion for innovation and precision.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop mechanical components and systems for aerospace and defense products.

Perform engineering analysis including stress, thermal, and vibration calculations.

Create detailed 3D models and engineering drawings using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA).

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical, systems, and manufacturing engineers.

Support prototype development, testing, and validation of mechanical systems.

Ensure compliance with industry standards (ASME, MIL-STD, ISO) and customer specifications.

Participate in design reviews, FMEA, and root cause analysis for product improvements.

Provide technical support throughout the product lifecycle, from concept to production.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Master’s ).

3+ years of experience in mechanical design within aerospace or defense manufacturing.

Proficiency in CAD software and engineering simulation tools (FEA, CFD).

Knowledge of materials, machining, and fabrication techniques.

Familiarity with aerospace standards and defense contracting requirements.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

U.S. Citizenship required; ability to obtain security clearance.

Skills

Experience with GD&T and tolerance analysis.

Background in additive manufacturing or advanced composites.

Hands-on experience with environmental and performance testing.

Familiarity with DoD acquisition processes and documentation.
