Journeyman Plumber
to read plans, identify obstacles, and deliver code-compliant installs and repairs with pride in facilities from hospitals to industrial sites. What you’ll do
Install, assemble, and repair piping systems for heating, water, and drainage—end to end. Read building plans and drawings, lay out work, and mark penetrations in walls/floors. Cut, thread, bend pipe; install valves, fittings, and fixtures (sinks, toilets, water heaters, disposals, dishwashers, softeners). Join piping (mechanical, solder, solvent, caulk) across metals and nonmetals (iron, steel, brass, copper, PVC, CPVC, clay, etc.). Pressure test systems; read gauges; find and fix leaks. Diagnose and repair—from leaky faucets and clogged drains to burst pipes—safely and efficiently. Work clean, code-compliant, and safety-first on every job. What you bring
Journeyman Plumber Certification (required). Alaska and Municipality of Anchorage (MOA) certifications (required). 1-year technical certificate or equivalent hands-on experience. Able to read/comprehend instructions and drawings; communicate clearly with customers and teammates. Solid basic math for measurements, rates, and material takeoffs; comfortable with simple documentation. Physical & work environment
Frequently lift/move up to 30 lbs; occasionally up to 50 lbs. Regular field conditions: occasional wet/humid environments, height work, outdoor weather, cold/heat; moderate noise. Reasonable accommodations available. What you’ll love
