HiFyve is hiring a Shop Technician in the construction industry in Milwaukee, WI!
Salary: $35–$45/hr
Shift: 1st
Location: On-site, Milwaukee, WI
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair heavy construction equipment in a shop environment
Perform mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical system maintenance and repairs
Conduct preventative maintenance and ensure equipment meets operational standards
Utilize diagnostic tools and software to identify faults and verify completed repairs
Disassemble and reassemble machinery and components following OEM specifications
Perform basic welding, cutting, and fabrication as needed
Read and interpret service manuals, schematics, and work orders accurately
Complete all service documentation and reports in a timely manner
Collaborate with service and parts departments to ensure efficient workflow
Follow all workplace safety and OSHA compliance standards
Education Requirements
High school diploma or GED required
Technical or vocational training in equipment maintenance
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to diagnose complex systems
Experience with heavy equipment service and repair
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
Basic computer and diagnostic software proficiency
Solid communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Basic welding and fabrication experience
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks safely
