Job Description

As a Construction Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing general contractors, subcontractors, testing agencies, budgets, and schedules for specific building projects. Your role will include administering construction contracts, conducting on-site inspections, and ensuring compliance with plans and specifications. You will be expected to research, plan, and oversee building projects, applying your knowledge of design, construction procedures, and building materials. Additionally, you will present status reports to stakeholders and coordinate contract changes into project delivery.

Responsibilities

Implement building construction projects to support the site. Coordinate construction scheduling and communication. Manage daily construction and RFI support for construction projects. Act as a liaison between in-field construction and project management. Estimate, schedule, and manage materials and purchase orders as needed. Supervise construction activity in the field. Coordinate weekend/shutdown work plans with contractors, facilities, and other teams. Work with vendors and contractors to coordinate equipment delivery, installation, and scheduling. Monitor equipment installation methods to ensure compliance with specifications and drawings. Coordinate RFIs and CCRs.

Essential Skills

10+ years of experience in industrial construction projects with an emphasis on building construction (greenfield or brownfield). Strong technical knowledge of construction means and methods. Proficient in drawing review and field application. OSHA 30 certification. Ability to manage a construction schedule on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. Physical ability to stand, stoop, walk, and ascend/descend stairs in a large industrial manufacturing plant. Competency with Microsoft Office: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook. Strong organizational and communication skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Associate's degree in construction management. Software experience: AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project. Automotive building experience including underground utilities, earthwork, civil, structural steel, building envelope, mechanical/electrical, and building handover/completion.

Work Environment

This role is fully on-site, requiring presence in a large industrial manufacturing plant. The position offers a stable work environment with opportunities for professional growth. The company provides 10 PTO days, 9 paid holidays per year, and compensates overtime at time and a half. The work environment is supportive with strong relationships between the support team and the account management.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Jackson, TN.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $46.00/hr.
