About APC: Advanced Precast Company (APC) is a precast concrete manufacturing facility located in Dyersville, Iowa. APC produces various concrete wall panels for architectural and structural facilities located throughout the Midwest.
Job Summary Work in a collaborative team-oriented environment to provide the highest quality of maintenance and mechanical service to all APC heavy equipment. The following duties are typical for this job. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive.
Wage $25-$35/ hour depending on experience
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Perform oil changes and services on small equipment, vehicles, ready-mix trucks, semi-trucks, and other equipment as needed.
Document all maintenance requests and inspections in an online service app.
Utilize the APC maintenance mobile app to perform daily tasks and properly document and submit work orders.
Perform monthly inspections on APC equipment.
Place purchase orders (PO’s) for maintenance inventory and additional needed parts.
Maintain OSHA safety procedures at all times when working around facilities and equipment.
Will be occasionally asked to complete additional maintenance tasks and repairs when needed.
Required Skills/Abilities
Extensive knowledge of diesel engine components and operational mechanisms.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to identify issues and determine repairs that are needed in a timely manner.
Ability to remain flexible as specific assignments change.
Excellent communication skills and self-motivated.
Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
Education And Experience Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of two (2) years of technical diesel mechanic training or equivalent experience.
Strong working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
Ability to operate all trucks and light, medium and heavy equipment and tools: Hand tools, automotive lifts and other hydraulic equipment, all company owned equipment and vehicles (for purposes of their repair and maintenance).
CDL preferred, but not required.
Physical Requirements Must be able to traverse property and facility to diagnose building and equipment issues and plan repairs or maintenance.
