Responsibilities
Install, repair, and maintain equipment (e.g., cranes, pumps, engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyors, production machines, and automotive/construction equipment) according to diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and specifications. Observe mechanical devices in operation, locate causes of trouble, dismantle devices to access and remove defective parts, and use hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools. Demonstrate strong knowledge in hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical power transmission, welding, rigging, and pipe fitting. Ability to run projects with minimal instruction. Qualifications
High school diploma, GED, or CRC Silver Certificate level Must be at least 18 years old Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future Ability to lift heavy materials, climb, stand, squat, bend, and work at heights with or without reasonable accommodations 5 years of Millwright experience or completion of an accredited apprenticeship in this craft Working knowledge of physical properties of common metals (strength in shear, tension, compression, hardness) Must complete aptitude test and hands-on assessment administered by an outside party Compensation & Benefits
Base pay: $40.05 per hour for Millwrights enrolled in the Multicraft program; Singlecraft Millwright starting pay $33.55. Multicraft pay available after July/January qualification Sign-on bonus totaling $10,000 paid out within 3 years (including $4,000 within 30 days) Medical, prescription, dental, vision, life insurance 401K; paid vacation after 1 year; holidays after 30 days Employee discounts and wellness programs Tuition discount: 25% for full-time employees at Texas A&M University – Texarkana (undergraduate, graduate, certificate, or micro-credential programs) Work Environment & Schedule
12-hour shifts; new hires likely placed on night shift 2-2-3 continuous work schedule with potential overtime and a three-day weekend every other week Fast-paced, heavy industrial environment; may work in various factory areas Environmental conditions can be hot, cold, and noisy; safety is a priority; PPE required (hearing/eye protection, protective clothing, steel-toed shoes) Location & Company
