Job Summary

Langan is seeking a

Site/Civil Practice Leader

to join its collaborative team in

Los Angeles, California . This role leads and supports design, permitting, and client management/development for a variety of land development projects. You will have the opportunity to grow the Los Angeles office and contribute to the growth of the Site/Civil discipline. Responsibilities

Design and permit residential, institutional, commercial centers, warehouse distribution centers, and mixed-use projects for public and private clients. Work with firm leadership to develop growth plans and optimize staff utilization. Lead staffing and hiring initiatives for the Los Angeles office. Identify and pursue new clients, develop work within existing projects, and participate in business development meetings with new and existing clients. Provide direct oversight and management of junior staff for specific project assignments; coach, train, and motivate Site/Civil staff. Lead site/civil efforts on various project sites, including site layout, grading, drainage, infrastructure, and erosion/sediment control from concept to completion. Lead stormwater management design, hydrologic/hydraulic analysis and design, and SWPPP preparation. Demonstrate experience in all aspects of land development engineering, including integration with geotechnical and environmental engineering. Performs other duties as requested. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering 15+ years of local, site/civil engineering experience with a focus on land development on small and large projects Professional Engineering license Experience designing and overseeing site layout, grading, drainage, infrastructure, erosion and sediment control from concept through completion Strong client development and client management abilities Proficiency in AutoCAD or Civil 3D preferred Active participation in professional organizations Experience in technical and proposal writing Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong attention to detail with analytical, multitasking, and judgment capabilities Ability to work independently and in a team environment Reliable transportation for client meetings and job site visits with a valid driver’s license Langan provides a comprehensive compensation package for full-time employees, including company-paid medical, dental, and vision coverage, life insurance, short- and long-term disability insurance, paid parental leave, 401(k)/Roth with company match, paid time off, and various bonuses and educational reimbursement. Note: The estimated salary range for this role is $112,500 - $171,000. Actual compensation varies based on experience, location, market conditions, education, certifications, and other credentials.
