Aircraft /GSE Mechanic - CBA - T-6 COMBS (Vance AFB) Join V2X Inc to apply for the Aircraft /GSE Mechanic role at Vance AFB. This position focuses on inspecting and repairing ground support equipment (GSE) and installing and removing Quick Engine Change (QEC) kits on aircraft engines.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Inspecting and repairing ground support equipment.

Installing and removing Quick Engine Change (QEC) kits on aircraft engines.

Operating, cleaning, inspecting, and maintaining GSE towing vehicles.

Performing engine QEC build‑up actions, including assembly and teardown.

Maintaining and documenting equipment records using automated maintenance data systems.

Ensuring compliance with environmental, safety, and FAA regulations.

Managing calibration schedules and ensuring all equipment is accounted for and properly cataloged.

Conducting clerical tasks, messaging, and other duties as assigned.

JOB DUTIES

Use technology to maintain equipment records and perform maintenance actions.

Inspect and operate GSE to determine equipment serviceability.

Service equipment with fluids and disassemble/assemble malfunctioning GSE accessories.

Mark and stencil GSE in accordance with technical publications.

Dispose of hazardous materials and waste per environmental regulations.

Assist with dispatch services for GSE to support aircraft maintenance and flight operations.

Practice good housekeeping, tool control, and foreign object damage prevention.

Work with repair and test equipment such as welders, torches, pressure testers, and electrical testers.

Complete documentation and tagging requirements for QEC items.

Order QEC parts from COMBS and refer to technical publications for specifications.

Track and record calibration dates; ensure equipment is calibrated when due.

Maintain files of calibration records and equipment IDs.

Prepare GSE for storage and transportation.

Other duties as assigned by the company.

QUALIFICATIONS

Understanding of scheduling techniques and technical order requirements.

Accurate troubleshooting and repair of complex aircraft engine/support equipment systems.

Ability to read and interpret detailed technical publications and instructions.

Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Courteous customer interaction skills.

Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles as applicable.

Familiarity with contractual requirements and logistics data systems.

High school graduate or GED.

Minimum 36 months in one or more maintenance trades.

Minimum 3 years recent aircraft maintenance experience.

Valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificate.
