Fleet Services Overview Fleet Services by Cox Automotive is a leading provider of on‑site mobile maintenance and repair services nationwide for light, medium, and heavy‑duty trucks and trailers. The company offers scheduled and unscheduled services from 50+ service centers and a 24/7 call center.

Responsibilities

Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM), DOT inspections, and follow‑up repairs on light, medium, and heavy‑duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.

Diagnose, adjust, and repair truck equipment—electrical, brake, cooling, starter/alternator, fan clutch, engine electronics, diesel steering systems, transmissions, clutches, and differentials.

Use handheld computers, pressure gauges, and other diagnostic instruments to identify malfunctions and perform road tests.

Manage parts inventory, reconcile usage, and maintain the company‑issued service truck.

Document work on Repair Orders (RO) using the TRAIT application on an iOS device.

Maintain safety compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and company policies.

Work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet standard repair times.

Requirements

High School Diploma/GED and 3 years of related experience (or 5 years).

Possess hand tools required for job duties.

Obtain ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.

Pass DOT‑regulated background screening, DOT physical, and have a valid DOT medical card with >4 months remaining.

Be at least 21 years old and hold a valid state driver’s license.

ASE 608/609

Strong diagnostic and problem‑solving skills.

Physical ability to lift, bend, climb, and stand for long periods.

Excellent communication and two‑way interaction with clients and team members.

Logical reasoning to evaluate alternative solutions.

Compensation Hourly base pay: $26.06 – $39.13/hour. Position may be eligible for commission or incentive programs.
