Job Duties / Responsibilities Install, wire, and test solar PV systems and battery energy storage systems (BESS) in residential and commercial settings Perform electrical work in compliance with NEC, local codes, and safety standards Install inverters, battery backup systems (such as Tesla Powerwall, Enphase, etc.), disconnects, junction boxes, and other components Wire and integrate battery storage systems with solar arrays and main electrical panels Interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and system layout plans Run and terminate conduit (EMT, PVC, flex) and wiring (AC/DC) Perform diagnostics, testing, and troubleshooting for both solar and battery systems Ensure systems are properly grounded and meet all electrical and safety standards Work closely with solar installers and project managers to complete jobs efficiently Maintain accurate documentation of all electrical and battery-related work Qualifications / Requirements Minimum 2 years of residential or commercial electrical experience (solar and battery storage experience preferred) Familiarity with major battery systems (Tesla, Enphase, etc.) is a plus In-depth knowledge of NEC codes and electrical safety best practices Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and spec sheets Strong troubleshooting skills, especially with hybrid or off-grid systems Familiarity with standard electrical tools and multimeters Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record Must be legally authorized to work in the United States Physical Demands and Abilities Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks including climbing ladders and working in tight spaces Comfortable working at heights and in various weather conditions Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity Ability to stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods Willingness to travel to multiple job sites if needed Clean Driving Record: A valid driver’s license is required. Candidates must have a clean driving record and be comfortable driving company vehicles to and from job sites. Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
