As a Steel Erection Project Manager at

Your day as a Project Manager You will oversee and manage structural steel erection and miscellaneous metals installation projects. Your role will involve collaborating with various teams to ensure project success, from participating in steel detailing to creating comprehensive schedules. You will be responsible for reviewing specifications, preparing critical documents, and maintaining detailed reports to track progress as well as preparing and negotiating change orders, deducts, and proposals with clients.
Effective communication and strong client relationships will be key in this role, as you coordinate with subcontractors, fabricators, and other project stakeholders. Does this sound like you?
Bachelor's Degree in a related field or a combination of education and experience
Prior Project Management experience in steel fabrication/erection or miscellaneous metals
A valid US driver's license is required
Knowledge of AISC and PCI standards is preferred
Familiarity with scheduling software such as Microsoft Project or Primavera is preferred
Understanding mathematics and possessing basic field tools for measurements
Knowledge of safety, quality, and cost control standards and procedures
Knowledge of materials methods and tools involved in steel construction
Knowledge of Tekla and Fabtrol software programs is preferred
