Industrial Engineering Manager

Stellantis . The Plant Industrial Engineering Manager is responsible for managing and leading the plant's industrial engineering department. The role includes collaborating with management to develop hourly and salary staffing, business plans, and actions to achieve productivity objectives, with daily, weekly, and monthly business reports. The selected individual will interact daily with production management and union leadership regarding staffing requirements and will support the development of direct, indirect, and salary staffing for model year budgets, working with manufacturing engineering and central industrial engineering. The role supports all aspects of Stellantis Production Way (SPW), especially the workplace organization pillar (value/nonvalue analysis, workstation optimization, waste elimination) and the logistics pillar (factory flow analysis and material/parts logistics). The Industrial Engineering Manager provides guidance to develop efficient manufacturing processes and workforce for advance programs.

Responsibilities

Hiring, training, and development of Industrial Engineers (IEs) Lead and manage the IE department Generate improvements based on data analysis using various tools Kaizens SMEs Micro stoppage reduction Downtime reduction Labor utilization Throughput (OLE) improvement Responsible for all IE activities in support of Plant Operations Maintain correct man assignments for all operations Maintain and track correct hourly and salary manning levels Advise Plant Senior Leadership on hourly and salary manpower needs Submit hiring requests as required Liaise with Corporate Industrial Engineering Conduct Product Cost Studies (PCS) once per calendar year Conduct special studies as requested by the Plant Manager Submit reports on a timely basis EHPU, Manpower Allocations Work with SPW Pillar Leads Follow SPW tools and methodologies as part of daily work

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering Minimum of eight (8) years of Industrial Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment Experience with time and motion studies, development of standardized work, manpower estimation, and standard data Understanding of assembly manufacturing systems and ability to apply throughput management techniques and assess equipment capacity Previous supervisor or managerial experience Data collection, root cause analysis, and practical problem-solving skills Understanding of LEAN manufacturing and Stellantis Production Way (SPW) principles

Master's degree in Engineering
