Scope of Position
The Cardiac Nuclear Medicine Division includes 1 imaging room and 2 treadmill rooms located on the 1st floor of the Ross Heart Hospital. The Nuclear Medicine technologist collaborates with radiologists, referring physicians, and clinical scientists to provide high-quality imaging for patient care and treatment.

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs nuclear medicine
In vivo
and
In vitro
procedures using advanced radiation-detecting equipment (including SPECT and PET). They handle computer processing, image enhancement, and provide images, data analysis, and patient information to physicians for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes, under the supervision of the Cardiologist and the Imaging Manager. Minimum Qualifications For Hire:
Certification and active registration in Nuclear Medicine Technology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-N) and/or the Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board (NMTCB). Licensure in Radiologic Technology (Nuclear Medicine) by the State of Ohio Department of Health. Graduate of an accredited N.M. program. ARRT-Radiography certification is preferred.
