Under the direction of the Assistant Vice President, Commercial Development, manages all components of development, redevelopment, asset management, and construction programs for the Airport’s real property and facilities, including the Public Facility Improvement Corporation (PFIC) properties. Responsible for all aspects of commercial development involving land, infrastructure, and facilities. Oversees construction programs for business initiatives related to industrial, logistics, cargo, office, and retail land development and redevelopment, aligning with the Airport’s strategic plan. Provides necessary documentation for project administration and execution (e.g., CIP funding documents, Official Board Actions, Work Authorizations). What You Will Be Doing
Assist the Assistant Vice President in the commercial development of real property. Create and review design and development standards, review processes, and evaluation criteria for Airport real property. Manage the Plan of Development process, Tenant Improvements submissions, and review permit drawings for compliance with DFW Development Design Guidelines. Oversee design and construction program parameters, including project controls and development metrics such as cost management, scheduling, and quality assurance. Assess RFP responses from developers and contractors, considering market-based construction and real estate data. Support asset condition measurement and reporting through the Commercial Development Asset Management Program. Initiate and manage design and construction estimates, validation efforts, and create Capital Improvement Projects and related documents. Analyze ROI and financial data for Board and PFIC investments, including reimbursements and payback criteria. Coordinate commercial development projects within overall Airport programs and procedures. Lead and manage development, design, and construction contractor and consultant resources. Oversee management of PM/CM consultants involved in project planning, design, and construction. Lead, coach, and develop a team supporting Commercial Development & Real Estate initiatives. What You Need
Bachelor’s degree in business, real estate, engineering, architecture, construction, or related field. At least five (5) years of experience in real estate development, construction, planning, design, or project management. Three (3) years of supervisory or team leadership experience. Equivalent education and/or experience may be considered. Valid Class C driver's license. What We Desire
Master’s degree in Business Administration, engineering, architecture, or construction. Industry-recognized credentials, licenses, or certifications. Knowledge of property management and development in a major airport context. Understanding of land and building valuation, costs, and commercial/industrial development around the Airport. About Us
