Responsibilities
Maintain reliability and functionality of mechanical equipment and processes used in manufacturing and laboratory operations.
Perform preventative maintenance tasks to maintain equipment dependability.
Diagnose, trouble shoot, and perform tasks to maintain equipment operational status.
Welding (piping, supports, and framework); pipefitting; blueprint reading; rigging; equipment installation.
Practical experience with pumps and seals; familiarity with valve packing and gasketing.
Analyze and repair electrical power failures within operating processes.
Provide backup services for the C&I Mechanic or learn all electrical requirements.
Requirements
Varied mechanical skills relating to building repairs, painting, etc.
At least five (5) years of practical experience in an industrial high-tech atmosphere as a Mechanic or equivalent craft.
Ability to follow written procedures; good communication and interpersonal skills.
Compliance with technical, quality control, product, manufacturing, and safety procedures.
Physical dexterity for climbing stairs, ladders, and handling manual maintenance tasks.
Ability to operate powered industrial trucks, including high reach, scissors lift, and skid loader units.
Must exhibit safe work practices and be available for overtime as required.
