Job Description and Duties
Assist the Chief Engineer II in the operation, preventive maintenance, and repair of heating, air conditioning, ventilation, duct work, plumbing, lighting, electrical, and carpentry systems.
Obtain and apply water‑treatment certification and back‑flow license as required.
Replace irrigation valves and controller systems.
Work with Bridge Maintenance crews at heights up to 600 ft and aboard a boat up to 200 ft.
Perform shift changes as needed, including night shifts, to meet regional needs.
Eligibility and Requirements
Eligibility must be demonstrated by a passing score on the Maintenance Mechanic examination and maintaining a current state examination list status.
Must possess a valid, unrestricted Class C driver’s license.
Position(s) require(s) a valid driver’s license for operating state‑owned or leased vehicles.
