Professional Land Surveyor Join Providence – an engineering and environmental consulting firm.

SUMMARY Employee will participate in survey data processing and CAD drafting, including figures, surfaces, and plan sheets. This person will also contribute to stamped deliverables, proposal preparation, and requests for qualifications. Assignments will be primarily office‑based with some fieldwork.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in surveying, mapping, geology, civil engineering, construction management, mechanical engineering or a related field preferred.

Licensed/registered surveyor in the state of Louisiana required.

Five or more years of surveying experience, including boundary and topographic required.

Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain an insurable driving record.

Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D required.

Ability to work independently.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist with scheduling and overseeing survey crews based on project priorities and deadlines.

Review survey plats and other drawings prepared by survey technicians and other staff.

Prepare stamped survey deliverables including boundary surveys, ALTA Land Title surveys, hydrographic surveys, and magnetometer surveys.

Assist with preparation of proposals and other Requests for Qualifications (RFQs).

Perform fieldwork as needed.

Operate various survey equipment including GPS RTK, Total Stations, magnetometers, boats, and drones.

Maintain and provide QA/QC of field documentation and paperwork.

Ensure safety and quality standards, policies and procedures are complied with during project execution.

Survey data importing and processing.

CAD drafting (figures, surfaces, alignments, plan sheet production, etc.).

Client communications, including promptly addressing and responding to client inquiries and requests via various platforms.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

Ability to travel semi‑occasionally.

Ability to walk long distances.

Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Ability to work outdoors in variable weather conditions and on varied terrain, sometimes for extended periods of time.
