Academic Programs Coordinator

Boise State University Job Summary/Basic Function: This position has administrative responsibility for coordination of complex academic program elements requiring collaboration with students, faculty, and other departments and programs. Essential Functions
60% of Time the Academic Programs Coordinator must: Provides administrative support Facilitates the delivery of required program services Maintains students files/records Analyzes data, generates and/or assists with, and disseminates periodic reports (monthly and semester) May provide support to student groups May oversee the work of less experienced employees or students May independently manage specific program activities Planning and executing assigned projects and operations within the specified department Other duties as assigned 35% of Time the Academic Programs Coordinator must: Provide Administrative Support to the Business Operations Manager/Graduate Program Coordinator and Research Project Manager Department Research Support for staff and students: book travel, process reimbursements, make purchases, receive and ship packages, oversee department vehicles and usage Department Seminar and Event support: serve as contact for seminar speakers and visiting researchers: book travel, process reimbursements and oversee catering OIT/WordPress Administrator: update department webpage, create forms, assist staff and students with computer, plotter and copier needs; attend monthly meeting with the Business Operations Manager and OIT Executive Director Respond to community inquiries and outreach requests 5% of Time the Academic Programs Coordinator will: Perform other duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Ability to work independently and use reference manuals to develop proficiency with software or computer systems Good organizational, written and verbal communication skills in the preparation and presentation of results Good interpersonal skills Able to effectively prioritize and work on multiple tasks with concurrent deadlines and demonstrate excellent time management skills and efficiency Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years of professional experience or equivalent relevant experience Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in a university setting Experience with Project and Program Management Salary and Benefits
Salary starting at $50,000 annually and is commensurate with experience. Boise State University provides a best-in-class benefits package, including (but not limited to): 12 paid holidays AND the University is closed between Christmas and New Year\'s (requires use of 3 vacation days) Between 12-24 annual paid vacation days for full-time Professional and Classified staff depending on position type and years of service 10.76% University contribution to your ORP retirement fund (Professional and Faculty employees) 11.96% University contribution to your PERSI retirement fund (Classified employees) Excellent medical, dental and other health-related insurance coverages Tuition fee waiver benefits for employees, spouses and their dependents See our full benefits page for more information!
