Therapist - Crisis Center (Part-time or PRN)
Therapist - Crisis Center (Part-time or PRN) at RiverValley Behavioral Health. Santa Fe Crisis Triage Center, Afternoon/Evening (until 8pm), Part-time and PRN Available. Crisis Team members are responsible for providing immediate intervention and evaluation, support towards crisis stabilization, navigation to community partner agencies, harm reduction resources, therapeutic services and resources, as well as next day follow-up and appropriate transition/discharge. Essential Functions
Participates as an active treatment team member providing crisis services, modeling effective crisis services, and assisting other staff in learning to provide crisis services to individuals with mental health and substance use issues. Engages and develops rapport with individuals in crisis situations presenting with a variety of symptoms/presentations. Recognizes and assesses client risk of danger to self or others and provides appropriate responses. De-escalates immediate crisis, assesses client needs, and develops treatment plans to address those needs. Develops safety and aftercare plans to reduce future crises. Coordinates and collaborates with community resources to meet client needs. Participates in on-call coverage and responds to on-call incidents in a manner that meets contract requirements and timelines. Provides training, modeling, and coaching related to case management and crisis support to new staff members. Provides support to supervisors in coordinating activities of case managers to ensure effective coverage and service delivery for clients. Acts as agency contact for community partners (when assigned) to promote effective coordination of care. Service Team Approach
Participates as an active treatment team member serving individuals with mental health and substance use issues. Recognizes and identifies symptoms of mental illness and substance use. Participates as a member of a multi-disciplinary team approach to treatment and recovery. Outreach, Engagement, Follow-Up
Provides comprehensive outreach and follow-up to all assigned individuals including contact attempts over the phone, in-person, in the home, etc. Engages and develops rapport with individuals presenting with a variety of symptoms/presentations. Cultural Competence and Diversity
Provides culturally appropriate services to diverse populations in a person-centered and non-judgmental, open, and welcoming manner. Documentation
Documents all services provided within expected time frames and in a manner that meets service definitions, regulatory standards, and agency expectations. Ensures documentation is person-centered and supports quality improvement goals. Efficiency and Productivity
Maintains excellent organizational skills and uses time management techniques effectively. Demonstrates engagement skills and consistently meets productivity standards. Staff Development Activities
Participates in and completes required trainings in a timely manner. Identifies and requests training or skill enhancement opportunities. Engages in cross-training with other team members. Attends required meetings and supervision, implements supervisory feedback, and applies supervisory recommendations to performance. Education And Experience
Master’s degree in human services or a health-related field (including counseling, social work, psychology, etc.). Licensure/Certification: Must possess one of the following New Mexico licenses: LMSW, LCSW, LPCC, LPC, LMHC, LPAT, or LMFT. Any candidate who can meet state requirements to provide clinical services within their field will be considered. Must possess a valid driver’s license and have access to a private vehicle for day-to-day job performance. We Offer
