Join us as an Interventional Radiologist at the Bronx, NY VA Medical Center. Duties Include Providing Interventional Radiology procedures including but not limited to: Angiography Cryoblation Balloon angioplasty/stent placement Line insertion Chemoembolization IVC filters Cholecystostomy Kyphoplasty Gastronomy Thrombolysis Biopsy Dialysis access & related interventions TIPS placement Radiofrequency ablation/microwave ablation Biliary intervention Communicating test results to providers and patients. Providing consultation and discharge education. Prescribing medications. Schedule: Full-time, guaranteed 40 hours per week. 8-hr shift rotations covering 24 hrs per day. Call rotation required evening, weekends, and federal holidays. Period of Performance: 1 base year 12/1/2025-11/30/2026 w/ four 1-year renewal options available. Qualifications Education. Degree of Doctor of Medicine or an equivalent degree. Board Certification. All contractor's physician(s) shall be Board Certified per the American Board of Radiology. Licensure and certification. Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia. BLS or ACLS, DEA and NPI required. Experience. Must be capable of demonstrating technical proficiency. English Language Proficiency: In accordance with 38 U.S.C. 7402(f), no person shall serve in direct patient care positions unless they are proficient in basic written and spoken English. Subject to background/security investigation. Must pass TB test. Complete an online onboarding process. Willingness to comply with Department of Veterans Affairs vaccination programs for seasonal influenza and COVID-19. Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959. Must be authorized to work in the United States.
