is hiring a Radiology Technologist Welcome to Singing Hill Surgery Center Radiology C-Arm Technologist at Singing Hills Surgery Center Job Summary:

Responsible for all aspects of c-arm operation including maneuvering and operating the equipment safely and producing, documenting and storing quality radiologic images. Strives to minimize patient wait time and educates patients and families about procedures. Demonstrates the goal of efficiently providing surgical services that exceed customer expectations and improve clinical and financial operations. May have additional responsibilities as designated by the Clinical Nurse Manager and/or Director of Nursing, including facilitating efficient procedure room turnover, serving on committees, participating in quality improvement audits/projects, and training ancillary personnel including nurses, surgical technologists and other operating room personnel. Candidate will possess outstanding multi-tasking abilities, communication, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Arrives 30 minutes prior to scheduled procedure to ensure proper setup and readiness of equipment.

Operates equipment in accordance with State/Federal regulatory laws.

Follow ALARA principle for each case.

Performs all radiographic procedures as written in the Policy and Procedure Manual.

Upholds and practices within the facility's policies and procedures.

Performs high quality radiology work.

Notifies Clinical Manager and/or Site Administrator of equipment/machine malfunction.

Adheres to Infection Control Policies and Procedures.

Demonstrates knowledge of filing and logging in of x-rays.

Demonstrates knowledge of reporting radiology findings to physicians and transfers necessary images to the PACS system in a timely manner.

Serves as a resource to other members of the health care team.

Maintains proper care and handling of lead aprons; ensures appropriate lead and dosimeter use by all involved personnel.

Uses Standard Universal Precautions, hand hygiene, PPE, and safe practices to ensure personal safety and a safe environment.

Follows all IFU equipment and safety guidelines and maintains knowledgeable use and care of equipment.

Maintains complete and accurate documentation for all processes and activities as required.

Maintains required competencies and participates in quality review and performance improvement projects.

Acts in accordance with the center’s vision, mission, and business philosophy.

Maintains patient, physician, and employee privacy and confidentiality per policy.

Follows the center's professional conduct and dress code policy.

Collaborates effectively with other disciplines as appropriate.

Participates in performance appraisal processes and required meetings/educational sessions.

Acts as a patient advocate and maintains privacy of all appropriate information.

Other Essential Functions and Responsibilities: As assigned

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology Program/School.

American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (current certification or registry eligible to be completed within 6 months of hire).

1-2 years' experience in C-Arm and portable X-rays in operating room setting.
