Overview

Purpose of Position: Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers to serve Axislocations for products and services. Drive cost savings across all commodities. Track and communicate results from cost savings activities. The position will be located in either Britton or Dundee. Responsibilities

Meet with vendors to negotiate pricing, terms and resolve issues. Enter Purchase Orders in ERP System Run reports and compile data to identify cost reduction opportunities. Cost Savings Project Management Maintain spreadsheets and track cost savings to report for department Create RFQ/RFP requirements and templates Request, gather, and analyze vendor quotes. Negotiate and execute capital purchases Maintain Utility contracts and RFQs Create new Blankets, manage existing Blankets Assist in implementation of commodity strategies Communicate with accounting/plant associates to address/resolve issues Validate and set up new vendors in the ERP System Maintain Approved Supplier Data Improve Supplier requirement tracking and compliance Identify and help solve part/supply issues Required Skills

Responsible for reading and understanding the TS16949 and ISO-14001 procedures Thorough working knowledge of purchasing policies, procedures and processes Knowledge of warehouse and inventory control policies and procedures Ability to negotiate best vendor terms, pricing and delivery based on requirements Ability to create schedule/timeline for activities and projects Ability to prioritize and organize workload Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or five years plus related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Mathematical Skills

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Reasoning Ability

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Business Judgment

Ability to adhere to all company policies and procedures in a professional and consistent manner. Able to apply common sense understanding and use appropriate judgment in routine business situations with supervisor, co-workers and customers. Technical Skills

Ability to work with the following software packages or programs: Microsoft Office at an intermediate level Microsoft Excel at an intermediate level Microsoft PowerPoint at an intermediate level Effective email and electronic communication skills are required Ability to work with the following data base programs and/or hardware: QAD database at an advanced level
