Job Summary Perform various hematology and/or chemistry automated, semi-automated, and manual procedures as defined by the CP Core Lab procedure manual. Assume the responsibility as lead technologist for differentials and cell counts. Duties include equipment/method troubleshooting, supply inventory, writing and reviewing procedures, and training new staff and students in conjunction with the supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications
NYS Licensed/eligible to practice as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist.
Master's Degree in chemical, physical, or biological sciences, with two years of Clinical Laboratory experience in Hematology and/or Chemistry, OR
NYS Licensed/eligible with at least four years of Clinical Laboratory experience in Hematology and/or Chemistry.
Ability to distinguish colors is required.
Preferred Qualifications
ASCP Specialty in Hematology.
Work Schedule Monday through Friday, days, with rotating weekends and holidays.
