Overview

We are seeking a full-time Functional Family Therapist to provide evidence-based intervention services to youth and families in the community. This is a community-based violence prevention program that uses Functional Family Therapy (FFT) to engage young people and their families in holistic anti-violence services. Services are typically offered in the home, but may be provided in the office or other community settings. About the Organization

Atlas works to prevent violence by meeting people during a crisis and connecting them to a change process that strengthens relationships. The FFT program is designed for high-risk youth and young adults referred by criminal court, juvenile justice, mental health, school, or child welfare systems. Education Preference:

Master’s degree in social work, counseling, education, or other relevant human service profession preferred; required for site supervisor position. Preferred Experience:

Direct use of pragmatic family therapies; individual therapy with youth and adults using cognitive-behavioral techniques; marital therapy using behaviorally based approaches; behavioral therapy targeting school behavior and academic performance; implementation of interventions within the youth’s natural ecology (family, peer, school, neighborhood). Preferred Knowledge:

Family systems theory and application; social-ecological theory and application; behavioral therapies theory and application; cognitive-behavioral therapy theory and application; pragmatic family therapies theory and application; child development research; social skills assessment and intervention; basic counseling and process skills. Preferred Core Competencies:

Ability to engage clients, be strengths-focused, shift to process, advocate for youth and family, manage stress and self-care, work well with diverse teams, maintain self-awareness, relate to families across cultural differences, empower families to solve problems, work in clients’ homes, and maintain flexible scheduling. JobResponsibilities

Carry a caseload as assigned. Provide virtual/home-based Functional Family Therapy to adults and their families, adhering to FFT fidelity requirements (as post-pandemic conditions allow). Participate actively as part of a therapy team, including weekly team and individual supervision meetings. Refer families to appropriate services and supports, providing clinical and concrete assistance. Prepare case progress notes as required by FFT and regularly report to external stakeholders. Participate in all FFT training, supervision, and consultation activities. Compensation and Benefits

Salary:

$70,000 to $75,000 annually. Benefits:
