Clinical Research Assistant (Administrative) – Clinical Trials Processing Lab Position Summary: Clinical Research Assistant assists with the daily administrative activities of the Clinical Trials Processing Laboratory (CTPL) at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8 AM – 4:30 PM (40 hrs/week). Located at James Cancer Hospital (0375).

Responsibilities

Assist with scheduling monitor visits.

Respond to data inquiries from Clinical Research Coordinators, sponsors, and receiving labs.

Provide Clinical Research Coordinators with needed documentation.

Inventory monitoring of daily kit supplies, place resupply orders, receive supply shipments, and maintain supply room organization.

Maintain Outlook calendar for patient appointments; assist with tube delivery to clinics and pickup of specimens after collection.

Follow up on daily patient status.

Other duties assigned by management, including answering CTPL requests by email/phone, generating reports, training students on administrative tasks, and special projects.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education & experience.

Experience in a clinical research or research capacity desired.

Computer skills required with experience using Microsoft software applications.

Effective communication skills, both face‑to‑face and written, with clinical staff and outside collaborators.

Background check, drug screen, or physical may be required during the post‑offer process.

• Salary: $40,000.00 – $45,000.00

• Location: Columbus, OH (James Cancer Hospital)
