Unit: Medical/Surgical (Med/Surg) Unit Employment Type: Travel Nurse (locum tenens) Assignment Length: 13 weeks Start Date: September 22, 2025 Shift: 12-hour day shifts Hours per Week: 36 Estimated Weekly Salary: $1510 - $1620 Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Ohio RN license preferred) BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required Minimum 1 year of recent clinical bedside experience as a Med/Surg RN (2 years preferred) Experience in Medical/Surgical, Same Day Surgery, Detox, Bone Marrow Transplant, Mental Health, or IDD nursing preferred Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized patient care plans Deliver direct patient care utilizing the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation Supervise Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and/or orientees Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the electronic health record Participate in patient rehabilitation programs and interdisciplinary healthcare team meetings Initiate discharge planning and provide patient/family education from admission Promote patient and staff safety by following hospital policies and clinical best practices Communicate effectively with physicians, charge nurses, and multidisciplinary care providers Foster a positive team environment and participate in unit team-building activities Assume charge nurse responsibilities as needed after orientation Engage in ongoing professional development and continuing nursing education Benefits
