Atrium Health Navicent is seeking a Radiology Technologist for a position in Byron, Georgia. Job Title:
Radiology Technologist - $22-35 per hour Responsibilities
Under indirect supervision, perform duties related to acquisition, processing, submission for interpretation, and archiving of radiographic images. Provide care to patients while in the radiology department. Demonstrate competency in positioning radiologic procedures as prescribed by departmental policy. Communicate with patients to explain procedures, obtain clinical history, confirm understanding, and address questions or concerns. Position patients, select exposure factors, provide radiation protection and safety per prescribed methods. Review diagnostic imaging requests for appropriateness and communicate any questionable orders to radiologists for final approval. Take verbal orders from providers as needed and enter them in the RIS system. Prepare and maintain records in accordance with regulatory requirements and document billing codes for procedures performed. Assist, communicate, and consult with radiologists. May work independently outside the department with providers. Observe patients during radiologic exams and intervene or contact primary care givers as needed. Provide guidance and mentoring to other personnel in the area; identify and correct problems and report critical occurrences appropriately. Utilize supplies and equipment in a cost-efficient manner. Maintain continuing education and applicable certifications for the modality. What You Will Need
High School diploma or GED; graduate of a JRCERT-approved School of Radiologic Technology. ARRT Registered or Registry-eligible through ARRT. ARRT required in accordance with Work Instruction EMP 8 or MRI. Schedule and Compensation
Schedule : Sunday 8:30am - 5:00pm and Monday 9:00am - 9:30pm Pay Range : $28.05 - $42.10 Benefits and About Us
