Schedule:
Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM CST
Job Summary The Laboratory Technician will perform routine analytical and laboratory testing to support the Food Safety, Quality, and Operations teams. This entry‑level position is ideal for individuals with laboratory coursework or hands‑on lab experience. The role involves conducting routine tests, maintaining instrumentation, and ensuring compliance with food safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Perform routine analysis and product testing under intermediate supervision.
Conduct quantitative and qualitative inspections and laboratory tests on raw materials, in‑process, and final products.
Check and monitor instrumentation performance; perform calibration checks, preventive maintenance, and minor repairs.
Prepare samples for analysis, including weighing and grinding of analytical samples.
Execute wet chemistry testing (ash, forced air moisture, and vacuum moisture).
Record, interpret, and document test results in databases; communicate findings to internal teams.
Maintain up‑to‑date customer specification books and ensure adherence to food safety and regulatory compliance programs.
Assist in building and maintaining a strong food safety, quality, and regulatory culture through cross‑functional collaboration.
Perform clerical, administrative, and technical support tasks as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree not required.
Coursework or laboratory experience (academic or professional).
Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
Strong attention to detail, organizational, and documentation skills.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Must successfully complete a background check and drug test.
Additional Information
This position supports the Wet Chemistry Team in the Animal Nutrition business unit.
Interviews will be conducted via Microsoft Teams.
