This is a temporary and/or hourly intermittent appointment with no probationary period or permanent status granted. The purpose of this recruitment is to build a pool of qualified applicants for temporary positions, which may be canceled or extended at any time. Salary Range:

$4,213 - $8,130 monthly.

The Athletics Department oversees intercollegiate sports, including four men's teams and six women's teams, and is part of NCAA Division II competing in the CCAA. The department handles public relations, sports info, athletic training, fundraising, scheduling, and recruitment, emphasizing academic standards and personal growth of student-athletes.

Position Summary Under supervision, the Athletic Trainer I performs clinical athletic training functions, including planning, organization, and delivery of athletic training services to students involved in athletics. Duties include injury prevention, assessment, rehabilitation, emergency coverage, record keeping, and collaboration with health professionals and coaching staff.

Qualifications

Equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in athletic training, physical education, kinesiology, or related field, including completion of BOC curriculum requirements.

Knowledge of athletic training principles, injury prevention, assessment, rehabilitation, therapeutic modalities, NCAA/NAIA regulations, OSHA standards, HIPAA, and insurance procedures.

Ability to assess injuries, develop rehab programs, use therapeutic equipment, recognize emergencies, and maintain medical records.

Certification from the Board of Certification (BOC) for Athletic Trainers; a valid California driver’s license may be required.

Additional Requirements

Satisfactory background check.

Possession of a valid Driver's License; enrollment in DMV Employer Pull Notice Program.

Compliance with CSU employment policies and mandated reporting laws.
