Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Operating Room position in Illinois requiring active IL and IA RN licenses and proficiency in all surgical cases including robotics.
Responsibilities
Position is in the hospital Operating Room (OR)
Work schedule is 4x10 hour day shifts per week, totaling 40 hours, with a rotating day off
On‑call required 1-2 nights per week after shifts and every 3rd or 4th weekend
Floating may be required to nearby campuses including Moline, Rock Island, Bettendorf, and Muscatine on occasion
Patient population consists of surgical patients with various procedural needs including robotic cases
Uses Epic EMR system
Responsible for circulating and/or scrubbing on a wide range of surgical procedures including advanced robotic cases
May join an interdisciplinary team and contribute professional nursing skills throughout the entire perioperative process
Must be able to work 2 out of 3 winter holidays (Christmas, New Year’s, Thanksgiving)
Limit of 1 day off request allowed within peak holiday time frames
Candidates residing within 50 miles are not eligible for consideration
Rare floating to other OR campuses may be required
Requirements
Active IL RN license and IA RN license required; if IA license is not active, proof of application for IA single state or compact RN license required
Valid BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum of 1.5 years recent Operating Room RN experience in a hospital or medical center
Proficiency in all types of OR cases, including robotics (DaVinci), excluding open heart cases
Must be able to float across QC campuses when needed
Prior travel nurse experience strongly preferred
