Electrical Mechanical Technician (Nights 5:45 pm–6:15 am)
Location:
Charlotte, NC
Pay:
$34.45–$38.70 per hour + $2.00 shift differential

The Electrician Technician maintains and troubleshoots electrical infrastructure in a food and beverage manufacturing facility. You will work nights, support production lines, and ensure safe and reliable equipment.
Responsibilities
Run conduit and piping to specifications, pull wire, and complete terminations.
Troubleshoot and repair single‑phase and three‑phase power electrical and control systems.
Calibrate and set up instrumentation devices and transmitters.
Interpret factory manuals, blueprints, schematics, P&IDs, and single‑line electrical drawings.
Program and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, servo controllers, and other automation hardware.
Identify aging or obsolete automation hardware and recommend improvements.
Follow NFPA, EPA, UBC, and other regulatory codes; maintain Lock‑Out Tag‑Out, arc‑flash, and hot‑work procedures.
Use PPE and comply with OSHA and food‑handling requirements.
Attend training, seminars, and in‑house courses as needed.
Document work in the CMMS, including root‑cause analysis and preventive maintenance observations.
Assist with confined‑space entry and other safety permits.
Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and quality teams to resolve equipment issues.
Qualifications Education & Experience:
High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 2 years electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing facility (food & beverage preferred). 4 years of experience as an industrial maintenance electrician is preferred.
Skills:
Proficient with Fluke multimeter, ohmmeter, megger, and other diagnostic tools; ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and P&IDs; strong mechanical aptitude; excellent written and verbal communication; ability to perform under pressure.
Certifications & Licenses:
Forklift and aerial‑lift certification; valid driver’s license; state electrical permits/licenses as required.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds frequently, climb, stoop, kneel; work standing and walking frequently.
