About Smart Infrastructure – Electrification and Automation The Electrification and Automation (EA) Business Unit provides reliable power distribution grids for all markets and sales channels. We invest in Future Grids and applications to create the power distribution grid of the future.

Responsibilities

Travel to customer sites or Siemens locations across the US, potentially for multiple days at a time.

Perform troubleshooting and warranty repairs on Medium Voltage Equipment, both mechanical and electrical in nature.

Provide a detailed, professional written field service report within 48 hours of each event.

Utilize Salesforce.com for time keeping, communication, and loading of reports.

Maintain close communication with Wendell associates and customers to ensure timely execution of the planned scope of work.

Respond to Emergency Service Requests and support urgent customer needs.

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years hands‑on experience with Mechanical and Electrical Equipment.

Up to 100% travel (including potential International Travel).

Professional communication skills – both verbal and written.

Basic computing skills (Office, drawing interpretation, web‑based program use, etc.).

A dedicated Team Player attitude and self‑motivated personality.

Committed to customer satisfaction and safety practices.

Flexibility to respond to Emergency Service Requests as needed.

Knowledge of Industry Safety Practices.

Preferred: Experience with medium voltage or low voltage switchgear.
