Overview
Join Ruger Firearms as a Production Team Lead. We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team. Starting wage is based on experience and shift. In addition to a base wage, every associate is eligible for quarterly profit sharing. Various shifts are available and off shifts include additional shift differential pay. Position Summary
The Production Team Lead role is responsible for ensuring department associates have the resources needed to successfully perform their positions. This role works to improve department processes to ensure safety, quality, delivery and lean operations for the production line. This person may also be responsible for creating and monitoring standard work, auditing production data, and working with production associates to meet daily goals.
Responsibilities
Lead a team and promote collaboration. Collect data and document internal processes. Learn and work with computer software including Oracle, Workday, and Microsoft Office. Identify and work with different personalities to achieve goals. Demonstrate leadership and problem-solving skills. Communicate effectively to develop team skills and manage conflict. Coach associates at various tasks and stay hands-on to maintain production. Operate or work with CNC machines, perform tool setting, in-line gaging, and ensure timely delivery of supplies. Enforce OSHA safety policies and procedures. Perform root cause analysis and process improvement (A3, Kaizen). Work well under pressure and multitask; adhere to a flexible schedule to meet production goals.
Physical Demands
Associates are frequently required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, and reach with arms. The position may involve sitting, standing all day, and lifting up to 40 pounds several times daily. Requires substantial movement including walking, bending, lifting, grasping, and applying pressure with the fingers and palms.
Requirements
You must be a minimum of 18 years old and able to pass both a background and drug screen.
Quarterly profit sharing is based on the company’s profits earned for the quarter.
