Weekly outpatient therapy isn't always enough, and a trip to the ER isn't the only answer. About This Role As the largest provider of PHP/IOP programs and psychiatric services in Illinois, Compass Health Center is one of the fastest-growing behavioral health organizations in the country. We are expanding our innovative and distinguished programs that redefine our industry and raise the standard for comprehensive care. Launching in late 2025, our newest location in Golden Valley, MN will be home to top local talent in behavioral health care. This interdisciplinary team will build our adolescent and adult programs alongside leadership of well-established clinicians and doctors working in PHP/IOP behavioral health care for the past decade. As a Primary Therapist, you’ll work thoughtfully with our patients to develop and implement individualized treatment plans. This role involves conducting individual therapy meetings, collaborating with patients’ outpatient teams, and guiding patients through their overall treatment program. You’ll partner with Group Therapists, Family Therapists, and Prescribers to ensure comprehensive and compassionate care. This role will work with patients aged 12-18 in our Mood & Anxiety Program, with opportunities to cross-train within Adolescent specialty programs and services: School Refusal, OCD/Complex Anxiety, Mental Health and Substance Use. The Adolescent Primary Clinical Therapist is ideal for someone eager to collaborate with a range of clinicians and patient populations while broadening clinical skills through training and support. Note:

This position is slated to start in December and will receive ~6 weeks of comprehensive training prior to seeing patients. What You'll Do: Complete initial intake evaluation to determine diagnosis and appropriateness of program Provide group and individual therapy Provide family therapy as needed Communicate with patients’ family members or support system on a weekly basis or as needed Coordinate care with patients’ outside providers to ensure continuity of care Communicate with patients’ homeschool and attend school re-entry meetings Create individualized weekly schedules for each patient based on need Assess patients’ progress and need for higher level of care, transition plan and/or discharge Chart progress of patients appropriately Provide insurance utilization team with updates Who You Are: Hold the following licenses or certifications: LICSW, LPCC, MSW, LPC, LGSW, MFT, LMFT, PsyD, or PhD with 2+ years of clinical experience conducting individual and family therapy. Ability to assist families and patients in talking about difficult topics. Excellent time management skills, ability to juggle multiple demands simultaneously in a fast-paced and changing environment.
