Overview
Responsibilities
Lead or assist in guiding in-house design teams of technical staff to produce high quality work on highway and roadway projects. Perform design checks for compliance with design standards. Assist with development of scopes of work and fee estimates. Coordinate with staff located in multiple offices and communicate effectively. Mentor younger staff and contribute to a collaborative, employee-owned culture. Preferred Qualifications
Exhibits excellent communication, written, and organizational skills. Experience with Federal-aid projects Comfortable working in a collaborative team environment, provides high quality work and outstanding client service. Enjoys mentoring and teaching other staff. Willing to lead in a team environment. Comfortable with minimal oversight in performing tasks. Passionate about the engineering profession and improving communities through project and community service activities. Experience working on projects with ITD, LHTAC, and/or Highway Districts and Cities throughout Idaho. Required Qualifications
Bachelor\'s degree Previous experience in all aspects of roadway engineering design Professional Engineer (PE) license Hands-on experience with Highway and Roads CAD engineering software such as Bentley ConceptStation and Open Roads Designer and/or Autodesk Infraworks and Civil3D MS Office knowledge Excellent communication and organizational skills Experience should include urban and rural highway interchanges, intersection design, traffic management, transportation planning, site planning, preparation of concept alignments, geometrical layout and CAD base alignment plans An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must What We Believe
