Production Supervisor - BDW - N2 (6pm-630am) Pay:

Job Overview:

The Production Supervisor plays a key role in executing assigned production tasks, including setting up, operating, cleaning, and troubleshooting production equipment, in accordance with standard operating procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee all production operational plans to ensure efficiency goals and output requirements are met. Monitor production line status, assess performance against targets, and coordinate with senior shift leadership on any conditions that may adversely affect production, including utility service interruptions or equipment issues.

Supervise production personnel, lead by example to establish trust and integrity. Conduct performance evaluations, administer corrective actions as pre‑approved by HR, support employee development plans, and participate in recruiting and selection processes. Ensure adequate staffing coverage for breaks, lunches, and other absences.

Communicate with maintenance personnel regarding mechanical malfunctions and coordinate maintenance activities to eliminate delays and production interruptions. Work with senior leadership to identify equipment improvement opportunities and support strategies to enhance productivity.

Ensure all production documentation is thoroughly completed, accurately filled out, legible, and properly signed off. Audit production work for accuracy and quality standards. Maintain compliance with all legal requirements concerning dairy processing, food safety, and SQF standards, and report any concerns appropriately.

Communicate effectively with plant leadership, other departments, and incoming/outgoing shifts—both verbally and in writing—regarding production status, potential problems, scheduling impacts, and customer satisfaction concerns. Maintain confidentiality while addressing inquiries and resolving issues.

Ensure a safe working environment by promptly reporting safety concerns and taking corrective action as necessary. Support food safety and quality initiatives, report food safety problems, and develop new ideas and methods to improve operational performance, product quality, and customer reliability.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum GED or High School Diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.

Minimum of 3+ years direct manufacturing experience; dairy industry experience preferred.
