FIN Studios , is looking for a passionate Post Production Supervisor to join our team. We're seeking an individual to manage the post-production workflow for our commercial and original content. In this role, you'll be the central point of contact for all post-production activities, from training and mentoring assistant editors to managing the entire editorial process. The ideal candidate is a technical expert who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can proactively troubleshoot issues as they arise. This is a hands-on role for someone who is passionate about the craft and process of post-production. We operate in a
hybrid manner , with this role leaning more towards in-office collaboration at our
Culver City studio . Candidates must be located in the greater Los Angeles area and comfortable with a fluid approach to being in-office based on the workflow. WHAT YOU’LL DO : Project Management:
Track project progress and serve as the main point of contact between the editorial team, producers, and the studio. You'll manage editorial resources, communicate schedules, and keep projects on track from kickoff to completion. Proactively identify and flag potential conflicts or issues (e.g., workload, technical challenges, etc.) that may affect the project timeline. Lead and Mentor:
Support the Head of Post by training and mentoring Assistant Editors. You'll manage their day-to-day tasks, workflow, and priorities from ingest to delivery. During critical deadlines or when short-staffed, you’ll be expected to step in and perform Assistant Editor duties to ensure projects stay on track. QC and Delivery:
Lead the final finishing and quality control stages to ensure all deliverables not only meet broadcast and digital specifications, but also uphold the highest standards of creative integrity and technical quality. Onboarding:
Oversee the onboarding of all post-production staff and freelancers, ensuring they have the assets and access needed to begin work efficiently. Technical Oversight:
Manage servers, hardware, and software in collaboration with our IT department. Provide proactive and responsive technical support for the editorial team, diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving issues with the equipment, NLE software, network connectivity, media storage, etc. Manage Assets:
Coordinate the reception of all project assets, manage data across cloud and on-premise servers, and execute secure archiving and backups while maintaining a comprehensive database for each project. Refine Workflows:
Collaborate with the Head of Post to develop and continuously improve codified post-production processes for all areas, including editing, sound design, mixing, color, motion graphics, and VFX. Innovate:
Stay up-to-date on new post-production technologies, latest versions of software, optimizing workflows, and emerging AI & automations. WHAT YOU’LL BRING: 5+ years experience in Post Production, ideally with some experience leading & supervising a team of Assistant Editors. Direct experience as an Assistant Editor and/or Editor. Fluent in managing end-to-end post-production workflows; experience with
broadcast commercials and digital advertising
is a strong plus. Deep technical expertise, with a proactive approach to troubleshooting post-production systems and tools. Extensive hands-on knowledge of
Adobe Premiere Pro
and proficiency with
Adobe Team Projects. Familiarity with proxy-offline/online workflow, finishing prep for color grading, vfx & sound mixing, and resizing aspect ratios for social platforms. Excellent organizational and time management skills with a keen eye for detail. The ability to work independently and collaboratively, managing multiple projects and deadlines under pressure. A positive attitude and a passion for collaborating with a team to streamline workflows. Bonus points for experience with
Adobe After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, LucidLink, Teamwork.com. This is a temp to full-time position, starting at $50/hour for the temporary status and full-time compensation range is: $85,000 - $110,000. Exactly where a prospective employee will be paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, the candidate’s depth of experience and qualifications in relation to the job description and the actual job duties of the role. In addition to salary, we also offer comprehensive benefits (covering 100% medical, dental, vision and offer open PTO, and more).
